Children’s Nebraska, in partnership with the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, is excited to announce we are actively recruiting our 8th pediatric surgeon to join our expanding division. This key addition will help share the comprehensive general pediatric surgery patient care responsibilities, including trauma surgery and advanced critical care services such as ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation).
Our division provides a full scope of pediatric surgical services, including special expertise in minimally invasive surgery, cancer surgery, neonatal surgery, non-cardiac thoracic surgery, GI surgery, bariatric surgery, oncology, and endocrine surgery. We are proud to operate Nebraska’s only Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, managing a high volume of complex trauma cases in children.
The Division of Pediatric Surgery has a well-established and highly regarded pediatric surgery fellowship. Successful candidates will have opportunities for scholarly activity in basic or clinical/translational research, with protected research time based on prior accomplishments. The Child Health Research Institute—an innovative partnership between UNMC and Children’s Hospital & Medical Center—provides start-up funding and research infrastructure to support your academic growth. Faculty appointments are held through the University of Nebraska College of Medicine.
