Description
We are seeking a part-time Accounting Clerk to join our Omaha office. Our Accounting Department supports two locations and manages accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense reporting. This position is approximately 20 hours per week, and the scheduled hours must fall between mid-morning and early afternoon or afternoon to ensure completion of the daily deposit.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, adaptable, and proactive self-starter who communicates professionally and works effectively with internal team members.

Additionally, this candidate will:

  • Process daily deposits (checks, ACH, and credit card payments)
  • Manage ARM (Accounts Receivable Management) collections, including follow-up with Project Managers on past-due items via email or meetings
  • Process and maintain lien waivers and W-9 forms
  • Provide data entry support for internal accounting workflows
  • Maintain accurate database records
  • Serve as a backup for other accounting functions

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel
  • Three years of related accounting experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Five years of related accounting experience
  • Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or related accounting functions
  • Experience with accounting software
